Privacy Notice

Effective October 18, 2026. Schmitt Insurance Agency LLC respects the confidentiality of information entrusted to our agency. This notice explains our website and customer portal practices; it does not replace any additional insurance privacy notice that may apply to a particular policy or carrier.

Information we collect

For quote requests, we collect your name, phone number, and selected insurance category, along with limited technical information used to prevent spam. For customer accounts, we collect your name, email address, cellphone number, authentication information, and insurance documents you choose to upload or that the agency assigns to you. Passwords are stored as hashes rather than plain text.

How we use information

We use this information to respond to quote requests, communicate with customers, facilitate authorized access to insurance documents, and administer and protect our services. We may share information with authorized insurance agency partners, insurance carriers, and service providers as necessary to evaluate an insurance request or service coverage, subject to applicable law and authorization. This website is an intake and communication tool, not an insurance policy administration system. We do not represent that submitting a form obtains or binds coverage.

Storage and access

Quote records and customer files are kept in agency-managed systems with restricted administrative access. Portal files use private storage and temporary access links. Our hosting, email, and storage providers may process data to operate these services. No website or transmission method can be guaranteed entirely free of risk.

Retention and requests

Records may be retained as needed for servicing, legitimate business operations, dispute resolution, and applicable legal or regulatory obligations. Retention periods can vary by record and legal requirements. Completed insurance records are not deleted automatically. Failed or abandoned uploads and expired account-verification codes may be routinely removed. Access to customer documents and other significant actions may be recorded for security and accountability.

Signed-in verified customers can submit an access, correction, or deletion-review request through their secure customer portal. You may also contact Brad directly. Requests are individually reviewed subject to applicable obligations; a deletion request is not a guarantee that legally required records can be erased.

Protecting sensitive information

Never include Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, medical records, or similarly sensitive information in the public quote request form. Do not send sensitive documents by ordinary email without first confirming an appropriate secure method with the agency.
